Macintosh:
    This describes how to start using the World Factbook.
    See the file "contents.txt" for more information about what is
    included on this CD-ROM.

QuickStart:

    1. Open the "MAC" folder.

    2. Choose one of these two methods to access the World Factbook:
          a) TextWare:
                   double click on the "WFB1993.CTL" icon.
                   (Features full text, plus appendices, consular notes, 
                    background notes, fast searches, photos, maps, charts,
                    and the ability to print the maps/images! )
          b) HyperCard:
                   double click on the "World Factbook 1993" icon.
                   (OR if you have a small MAC SE/Plus screen:
                   double click on the "World Factbook 1993 Small" icon.
                   (Features Geographical Navigation + selection,
                   photo slideshow, maps, charts and more.)
  
    3.  HyperCard Hints
         Help is available under the "Help" Menu

    4.  TextWare Hints
         The data starts with a table of contents on cards 1 and 2.
         Use the "Go to Card" in the "Options" menu.
         Help is available under the "Apple" Menu.
         For more detailed help, double click on the "TextWare Manual.CTL" icon.

    * You may choose to run TextWare from your own hard drive, to do this:
        1. copy the folder "MAC" to your hard drive.
        2. make sure the CD is in your CD-ROM drive and mounted
            on the desktop.

    * Image Printing Note: Choose "Black&White" in the print dialog
        (Color/Grayscale takes a long time...)
